Where has this year gone?

They say time flys when you’re enjoying yourself. How true that statement is. However, as a patient in Harrogate District Hospital enjoyment may not be a word that necessarily springs to mind!

But help is at hand at Harrogate Hospital Radio. By tuning into our fabulous shows your stay in hospital may become just that little bit better.

On Harrogate Hospital Radio we try cater for all tastes; from jazz to soul, from easy listening to show tunes. Such a variety of shows broadcasting 24 hours a day, seven-days a week.

We have been broadcasting at Harrogate District Hospital for over 42 years and are still going strong. Although technology has changed, and public WiFi has been installed within the hospital, we are working tirelessly with the hospital to bring HHR to you in different ways. Hopefully in 2020 we will achieve more ways than just online and via our app, so watch this space.

Christmas is around the corner and it is time for our usual big fundraiser, our Christmas raffle. This year the first prize remains the same £150 cash. Then there’s dinner, bed and breakfast at the Rendezvous Hotel in Skipton, and dinner for two at Rudding Park. There are many other prizes too including the obligatory cuddly toy!

HHR volunteers will be in reception on Monday, November 18, Tuesday, November 19, and Friday, November 22.
