Friends, families, companies and organisations are invited to step forward and take part in Harrogate Hospital and Community Charity’s second ’It’s a Knockout’ – a day of inflatables, water, foam and fun to raise valuable funds for NHS services at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust.
Teams will go head to head and take on the challenge at Ashville College, Harrogate, on Saturday 15 June, competing for the crown of ’It’s a Knockout Champions’ 2019. The event is being supported by estate agent, Verity Frearson.
‘Graham Fisher’s International It’s a Knockout’ has an ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ theme and those who sign up to take on the event will face a wide range of challenges such as an inflatable obstacle course, fancy dress games and other wacky races involving plenty of water and foam.
The main focus is on fun, and those who take part don’t need to be an athlete! Anyone aged 14 or over can enter a team of between 6 and 10 people, so gather a group of friends from your workplace, local pub, club or a just group of family and friends and get ready for a day of foam and fun! Registration is from just £30 a person, with an additional pledge to raise a minimum sponsorship of £50 per person on team.
As part of the ‘It’s a Knockout’ event, there will also be a range of information and fundraising stalls in place at the family fun day, which will provide plenty for spectators and families to get involved with while watching the action take place. A small fee applies, and spaces are still available.
David Fisher, Community and Events Fundraiser with Harrogate Hospital and Community Charity, said: “We are really looking forward to our second ‘It’s a Knockout’ following the success of last year’s event, which was lots of fun and raised vital funds to allow us to improve Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust’s facilities for patients and visitors. We can’t wait to welcome teams to Ashville College to crown our ‘It’s a Knockout’ champions for 2019!
“We are still looking for teams to get involved and help us raise valuable funds – please get in touch by Friday 31 May for more information and to register your team.”
Matthew Stamford, Director of Verity Frearson Estate Agents, who are supporting the event said: “We are really looking forward to a great day of fun and would love for other local businesses to join us and take on the challenge to be crowned ‘It’s A Knockout’ champions and help us raise vital funds for local NHS services.”
